I have just updated my control Software to 3.8.8 and I have some problems.
Firstly when I open ShopBot 3 I get a Parameter Error message (see attachment). Next after doing a spindle warm up routine, I try to do a zero return of the X and Y Axis I am getting a Table Limit Violation (see attachment).Can anyone help me with these problems. I am running Windows 7

Hi- did you reset your C3 command based on your prox switches after you installed the new software? I recently upgraded to 3.8.6 and did it anyway, not sure if it was required or not. Not sure if this could be causing your issue-

Russell;

From your other thread on this I thought it was solved. Ted made a rather detailed post there. You should take a look and see if that does it.

Thanks for your replies. I have had lots of help from Frank at ShopBot and the problem is now sorted out.:)

I also had strange limit violation error messages after upgrading Sb soft. I am not 100% sure but it seems to happen if the current unit is set to milimeters before installing the newer version.

I just bought a new laptop to run the control software (old one was dying), and I've got 3.8.8 installed, updated the firmware, and I can control the Desktop using ShopbotEasy, but I can't get the main console window to show up. When I start SB3, it did report the initial Desktop dimensions, but after I dismissed that dialog, all I have is ShopbotEasy showing up. Any ideas? It's a Windows 8 system.

Thanks for any help!

I deleted the desktop.ini file and restarted SB3, found the Desktop file, and now I have the Console back. Up and running!
