I have a PRS Standard 48 x 96 (a little over a year old) and have been running smoothly since last year, left the computer and the machine on overnight came in the next morning to run a file and it started a slow motion routine then rebooted everything and went to cut again "X Axis beyond software table limits" then you can over ride for the file which I did then it went down and broke the bit.

Installed new (3.8.8) SB software and went thru the routine again except I noticed the Y axis was not moving, removed the stepper motor to see if it was moving...moved about 1/8" and the display showed it moved 97"...don't know how that could happen when it is only 48".

Figure it is software or the motor..any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

When you change the software you have to update your firmware as well.
Also you have to run the set-up routine and make sure it is set for your tool. If it isn't you have to clear the variables and re-rub set-up making sure it is your tool and the units you want to use.

Thanks Dave. I needed to run the set-up again...now it's running great again!
