I would like to add some extrusion material (like the stuff SB uses but thinner) to the end of my table on my PRS machine for clamping 1/2" plastic to edge drill. I bought some neat clamps a while back but I would like to add about a 4' long x 6" to 8" wide section of extrusion to attach the clamps. Where can I find a selection of that type extrusion?
Thanks Mike

Parker Hannifin or via ShopBot - If you need an exact match. Otherwise, there is 80/20, Misumi & others.

Not a huge fan of ebay, but 8020 has a "store" there with very reasonable pricing on a huge variety of what you seek - lots of odds and ends/cutoffs - bet you'll find the ideal piece.

I looked on Ebay but did not find any pieces wide enough 3" wide was the widest I saw. Ideal would be 8" wide x 1" thick x 4' long but 6" wide would work.

Mike:
You can take a few pieces of the "flat and wide" profiles like 2 x .5 from 80/20 or someone and attach them to a board side by side. Many other sizes are available including, for example 3 x .75 as well as metrics.
Lots of folks have done that. It works well.
BTW: I'll be in Portland a week before Christmas for a couple days and in Astoria after. Depending on what all the wife has planned I might get a chance to visit a couple Botters in the area.

That would be great come by for a visit. I maybe able to use the 3" X 6" by moving the X rail extrusion back further on the legs or double up on some 1" x 3" if I can't find some 1" x 8".

Michael,
Bosch Rexroth produce a very broad range. If I recall correctly, they are or were the supplier used by Shopbot. Here's their web page with a link to distributors.
