Hi all,
just working through getting started on our new machine. A couple of questions starting with an easy one.
1. All the SB tutorials deal with Partworks or Partworks 3d. The software I received with my machine was V carve pro shopbot edition which looks pretty similar to Partworks. Is this the program I should be using to create toolpaths?
2.Our design is done in Rhino 4 or 5. When exporting files as .dxfs, I normally export for the company we used to use (running a multicam) as Release 12 lines and arcs. When I try to import any of these files into V carve pro all I see is a blank sheet. I have tried CTRL-A to select any imported vectors then centre them on the sheet but nothing shows and the imported vectors are nowhere to be found. I changed my export settings to CAM Metric and this worked once and the vectors showed in Vcarve but a second file would not show at all.
Does anyone else use Rhino 4 or 5 and if so what export settings are you using that work with the Shopbot software?
Stumped
