I just cut the plenum for my 4x8, 6 zone vacuum hold down table.
Question:
How do you connect the 2" PVC to the plywood base/mdf plenum?
I seen people simply cut a hole slightly bigger than the outside diameter of 2"PVC and caulk it. But this seems weak. Maybe a fitting that secures it to the plywood? Or a fitting that I pocket in from above?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Thanks, John

John,
I am sure there are many methods to accomplish this task. You can go to one of the box stores and purchase plumbing flanges to fit your pipe. Of course, drill your holes in the plenum for each zone. Be sure to plan out your layout from your manifold so all of your plumbing is not crossing each other. Once the plan is made, you will know where the holes are to be drilled.
Here is a picture of a flange below. Then use PVC glue to finally connect all of your plumbing.

I just cut a hole in mine and caulked it, this has worked great on mine for years. My hole to pipe fit was pretty tight and remember unlike a pipe with pressure on it you can caulk it from the outside because it is sucking not pushing.
