View Full Version : No voltage in diagnostic test

I just installed the latest version of ShopBot Control software in my new (to me) control computer. I think it is 3.8.8 or the latest they have for download. All seem to work ok, as I have done some air cuts to test it out. The machine runs smoothly and no problems that I know of. I tried the new Diagnostic test that is the dark blue panel that shows the various results from running a file. Right off the bat, the line for showing the control card voltage shows "no reading", but all else is in spec. I have tried several different files and tests and all come back the same, "no reading". I have read the instructions and searched the forum, but no answer.
I have BT 32 standard with the black computer case bought in Jan of 2008, I believe. My control computer is a just purchased used HP with a Core2 Duo at 3.0 Hz and 4 gigs of Ram with a clean install of Win 7 Home Premium and no extra software, etc.
One more bit of info, some time ago my on/off switch on my control box failed in the "On" position, that is it won't turn "Off". Since then I use a short extension cord with an "On/Off" switch built in and I use that to turn on or off.
I just don't want to go into that black box unless I have to.....
Can anyone help me? Thanks.....joe

Joe as its all working OK why worry? Other test functions dont work in 3.8 such as the USB speed test.

Thanks for the reply, Bob. You are right, all else seems to work OK, so I should just continue on....joe
