This table came from a log I milled from a firewood pile it had no normal lumber value but those are the logs with character I got 4 good slabs from it this is the first table. All the knot voids were filled with epoxy.

The wood is Cherry

:) Nice save!

I just split a cord of cherry. Smells delicious when you split or burn.

I split about a half cord of red oak and some "cedar elm" yesterday... doesn't smell sweet or look this way when finished! 9 I have toyed with the idea of putting some oak onto the indexer to turn some fun stuff out of it. Haven't come up with anything just yet!

I used a lot of my oak to smoke a turkey yesterday and the cedar elm to heat the living room.

.....Yet, I like your firewood better!

Very NICE, Glad that you did that. I am working on a Walnut table for Tina, I just finished the new Piano stool for her and Gave it to her last week. Taking what others think is waste is a good way to make easy money. Items with Character I always double or triple the price. They Sale faster than the ones that are made out of furniture grade wood. by the way the piano stool was made from fas grade no defects at all. the coffee table on the other hand has several large knot holes. hope to have it finished by Christmas for her.

will post pictures latter this week.
