I'm seeing some odd, erratic behvaior of my Desktop unit. I would still consider myself a newbie at CNC and the Shopbot, so I'm not sure if I'm the cause, or its the machine.

1. On multiple occasions the x, y, or z speeds during operation seem to change on their own. A week or two ago I posted about a slow z jog speed. Now I'm having faster than usual x and y speeds.

2. Upon initial start-up for the beginning of a cut, there were two instances where it did not turn the spindle on and nose dived into the board.

3. Today when cutting, all my cuts were moved over about 4 inches from where they were placed on the materal in Vcarve. This was verified twice. Running the same file, after a bit change and re-zeroing, it moved the next set of cuts over 4 more inches.

These behaviors seem to have started after upgrading to 3.8.10 and whatever firmware came with it. I purchased the unit in May of this year and did not see these issues before the upgrade.

Andy,
Can you post what operating system, computer processor (Intel, AMD, Atom etc), & how much RAM you are running?

The short answer may be to go back to the previous version of SB3 you were running before the problems started.
