I am wondering if anyone has any experience making commercial beehives, frames etc?

There was a guy on here who was looking at buying a machine from me a couple years ago. He was out of PA and was looking to make bee hives. If you search around a bit, I am sure he or someone else on here is still doing them. They are pretty simple affairs...

I made a Langstroth type hive for myself last year with all three box sizes and the frames for each. Biggest problem I had was doing the box joints, very hard to make an inside square corners. Used clear pine for all the parts. The bees seemed to like it alright as no swarms :-)

the inside corners can be finished with a corner chisel. as far a no swarms that may be a problem... swarms occur from health hives, where there are other queens produced and part of the hive leaves with the queen. Search for bee hives you will find the correct sizes of every part and you should be able to draw the parts from that.
bee supplies like starter comb come in standard sizes to fit the racks.

The chap that runs the Shark forum does them for a living. Very nice work.
