Honey I shrunk the clock

This was a free program from Aspire a few months back. I just got a tabletop and I am thinking about doing this project.

Has anyone out there tried it? Are there any pitfalls to watch out for?

Looks like it will take about 30 board feet to complete it. Lowes has red oak that looks kind of nice - what other suggestions?

my suggestion is to buy oak from a supplier or cabinet shop . Lowes will be a high price to buy
