Desktop came in August so no "speedtest". Always wondered how my set-up would have done. Never understood(still don't) Packet et talk, until yesterday when it was mentioned as an "efficiency" guide. Out to shop this AM and booted up, did Zero X,Y off proximity switches then UD and Packet et was 26.9 DARN. Then did one axis move MX16, UD and packet et was 17.1 Yeah!. Then did Easy Mode Button 4(12,12) and got a Packet et of 153.9 Yikes!
Should I only be concerned with the one axis #, or does the Easy Mode Button Move indicate a problem I should be concerned with? Just upgraded to 3.8.10 but haven't actually cut anything since as other stuff has popped up. Curious what my 3.8.4 #'s were now. Thanks all, love learning new stuff here.

Scott,
Since I never use Easy mode, I can't say what the issue with that high number would be. I just can't use Easy mode as I feel like I have both hands tied behind my back with it.
Here is some more information on the new diagnostics that are in v3.8. You can find it using 'UT' or going to C:\Program Files (x86)\ShopBot\ShopBot 3\Help. In particular, this part references your question...
The bottom line of the UD display provides additional information for diagnosing communications speed issues. To obtain reliable data for these measures, make a 4 inch (100mm) move using [MX] or [MY]. Then, use [UD] to bring up the diagnostic display. You should have a Static_ET (elapsed time to send and confirm a static packet) of 5ms or less. You should have a Packet_ET (elapsed time to send and confirm a motion packet) of 20ms or less (though usually any value under 40ms indicates that you should not have any problems running your tool).
I have seen high values after things like jogs or a JH, so as stated above, to obtain reliable data, stick with the small move in either X or Y. Again, as stated, any value under 40 should be reliable. This might also explain why what you got from the Easy mode move could be erroneous.

Thanks Scott, short 1 axis moves all in 16-17 range. Just cut plaque for west coast brother and his kids(He's into Makerbot) and 3.8.10 behaved perfectly on it's first cuts since install and his kids were impressed and wanted him to buy a Desktop to go with their Makerbot.:)
