Komatex PVC is available with Wood Grain in it. Otherwise there are a couple methods.
You cut a v-groove between vectors that are shaped like wood grain.
You get or make a wood-grain relief and cut it with a ball-nose bit.
There is a bunch of info on this in the archives and on the Aspire and Art-cam Forum. Artcam includes a woodgrain relief texture in their library you can use that is tile-able. Vectric may also.

Lutchman…
Here’s something similar to what Dave is talking about when he said
“You cut a v-groove between vectors that are shaped like wood grain”
It’s actually a Vectric toolpathing texture cut around vectors that look like quarter sawn oak rays. This is cut in MDF and is quite convincing when viewed from across the room! It was a reaction to some issues I was having with miters opening over time… It’s one piece, the “miter” look is also carved with a v-bit.

Steve that does look convincing, I mostly work with real wood but I will keep that in mind.
