I ended up with an indexer that was sold with my PR96 that I would like to use on my current 2004 PRT standard 48x96. Has any tried this? I have not contacted Shopbot regarding this issue. I believe the wire connectors are different. Is there anything else I should look out for? Thanks, Marc

Cut back the white & yellow wires, and wire it up using the other 4 wires. See attached PDF. As long as the motors are less than 2A per phase, you are fine (they should be). I haven't seen a "PR" indexer, so please post up pics of the hardware just for posterity.

Here is what I have. Not pictured is the two aluminum rails(bases) that each side of the indexer rides on.

Brady,
Thanks for the document. Anything that you see that may not work with the newer PRT? I am going to mount this on the Y axis off the end of the table. Thanks, Marc

Marc,
That's pretty much identical to a 3G PRT indexer - so you should be just fine. Try to mount the centerline of the head/tailstock at or slightly below your spoilboard height to maximize turning diameter with your Z.

Brady,
Awesome, I think the only shopbot parts I will need are another wire connector to the control board. I have offset the spindle already in order to allow for travel off the end of the table. Thanks a bunch, Marc

You can get an extra Wago connector right from ShopBot.
