Good morning,
I am trying to assemble my new PRS 96 and are having an issue with E-Chain mounting to the gantry end. How do I attach it? If I attach it on top as the manual shows the chain is carrying the weight on the spine. However if I loop it under and around, the mounting bracket appears too low and puts strain on the chain also.
Facing the gantry it is front right hand side with trough running back to middle of X axis.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards
Mark

Thanks Adrian. Fixed it.
The end mounting link just needed turning around. Sometimes you are so close you can't see the trees.
This is going to be awesome!

Gene, DON'T say that! Yesterday had a .5BN in and wanted to see if a .4" cut would hit a knot in the wood. Moved bit off the piece and typed MZ, -4:eek: Noticed I missed the decimal point just before hitting enter. I quit early yesterday:)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I almost there. I having an issue with the spindle is not responding to the software. If I runs program like the Spindle warm up routine, I get nothing. Only when I quit the routine does the spindle start. C6, C7 do not work either. To stop the spindle, I need to use the VFD. Any idea on what it could be? It is set to 1 on SB3.
I also need to swap the PRS motors to change the 0,0 location to the other end of the table.

Thanks in advance.
Mark

Have you got the spindle control window showing up on the PC?

Thanks Adrian, Yes I have it showing up and can change RPM's with it.
I think I know what it is but need to test my theory. I need to reverse the motors because my intended 0,0 is now in the negative. And the SB3 is set to 1. I am assuming the 1 is movement from 0,0. If my position is in the negative, it will not respond until it reaches positive numbers. I can set teh SB3 to -1 to test but it is just as quick to reverse the motors to how I want them and retest. I will try this and let you know.
Thanks again.
