Can anyone suggest a way to calculate the Volume of an STL? As in how much silver will it take to cast a shape.
Thanks!

I think both Netfabb basic and meshmixer will calculate volume.

You can do it with Aspire as well.
It is an undocumented feature that is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate so given the price of silver......

Steve, if you have Aspire, you can hi-lite your model and press CTRL+ALT+Shift+V and a pop-up window should come up with a close approximation, I think within about 1%. Keep your pointer arrow within the model itself...joe I see Adrian beat me to it...joe

Use Ctrl-Shift-D in Aspire 3.5.
