Oscar, It may just be my computer, but link said video was "Unavailable". You got another link? 2 Desktops here and we love them. Only had mine running since September last year and doing stuff I never thought of before I bought it.
Sweet machine-You'll love it:)

Scott....the link worked for me.....an informative talk from Ted and I like the indexing toothed system he uses to move long pieces through the desktop....neat......no reason this could not be done on a Buddy as well without having to change to longer power sticks???

Cheers

I think it was the https. Yeah I like the tooth design as it's versatile, but would probably do 2" or 3" increments as small increments escape me in the wee hours. Wonder if an actual triangular tooth pattern would seat better?
Must admit I should have spent the extra on a mini-enclosure like we got on the second one on mine as surfacing and dadoes throw the chips too fast for vac to catch on bit's longer than 2.5", and the enclosure at least keeps them somewhat contained.

Oscar,
There are a few ways to "index" parts on any model of machine. The key is to create the part with the indexing built into the toolpaths. I don't need to index parts because i have a large table but do a google search for "vectric tutorial on indexing parts" and you will find how to do it specifically in the tutorials. The tutorial may also explain how to make the jigging (not sure) to be able to run the files.
If not and you are going to buy a shopbot then i'm almost certain that shopbot probably has some files to make the jigging that, if you ask them for they would share if the purchase is contingent on being able to index parts on that model.

Oscar, once you have the Desktop you can MAKE one!:) Not sure if this on ever worked on his cradle, but it should work. My Desktop still can't be accessed from the rear as I mounted it butting up against a wall(BIG Mistake). Got a Maker Crate from Shopbot but I STILL have to put a finish on it while it's un-assembled as It's SO much easier from my wheelchair to deal with small pieces and THEN assemble. If you don't already have a good bench for it, then you should know it replaces your shipping crate and gives you a stable work surface in an hour AND you don't have to figure out what to do with the standard crate(Mine will be a sanding station). If you don't know what a Maker Crate is I'm enclosing a picture of the one with our second Desktop inside it just before shipping in January:) NOT your regular crate Bill and TJ did a really good job and it's the same one (pretty much except better) that is shown on that vid of Ted. They even added wheelchair access panels for me(makes it perfect for an office chair use as well).
By the way ----WELCOME:)
Any questions,ASK! I did.

Good point Jack, When we bought mine I didn't push hard enough to get a "Demonstration" Crate(what I called it-Like "Maker Crate" better". IMPLIED:) sale was contingent on getting a multiple use/stable platform that was good looking enough to go to shows. TJ and Bill were out in that 0F cold snap you guys had "Making" the "Crate" in January! The first one they made was birch Ply but the veneer was so thin they sanded through it doing the "flat dovetails" so they put that one aside(I bought it:) and made another out of the Radiata because of the thicker veneer. What a company!!!:)
