For some reason I am getting a driver/motor fault! Location ??-- . Just about the same location in the x axis at about 72 ". Doesn't care on the y axis just the x and it doesn't happen all the time. It will run up and down the x 3 or 4 or more times then it gets a driver/motor fault.
Anyone know what might cause this?

Thank you
Frank

one thing you can try is to shut everything down, then go over to your circuit breaker and shut all power to your box off. Sometimes when you get errors those instructions stay in the memory until you shut power off to your control box completely.
Then again it could be something completely different.

Thank Jack,
I try that. It did not help. I just keep stopping in the same place. Something it will run the whole program and other time it won't. It got me.

It could be a broken wire to your stepper

Drop the motors down and check for any binding at that location. Check the rack for any debris that could cause some binding between the pinion/rack.

As Jerry stated, the wires may be flexing somehow at that point and causing a break in connection. Check all connections and for any pinching of cables.
