Columbo spindle fan problem

Hi all.

I have a 5hp Columbo spindle which came with my PRS Alpha late last year. For the past two weeks, the cooling fan on top of the spindle is not turning on when I power up the machine. if I blow really hard on the fan or give it a little squirt of compressed air it then stays on for the day.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and of so how did you resolve it?

You might want to check your spindle warranty terms right away in case it's still applicable.

This should not be. I agree-check the warranty. If not covered the good news is fans are cheap. I have a 12 (OMG has it been that long?) year old Columbo 5HP that has been running without a hiccup all that time. I love it.
