I have been working on a set of doors that will have four panels in each of two doors. One door will have four panels that displays the husband's lineage and the second door displays his wife's lineage. Only one panel is shown here, I was testing the fit of the frame parts and the fit of the panel.

The panel looks great. Its very clean.

I would love to see it complete. It seems like the 4 panel idea might be a bit much. But sometimes you cant really tell until you see it. Then sometimes you need to see it in place. :)

Phil - That looks great. Did you create the 3D model yourself?

Phil, the carving, it is really beautiful! But, I would urge you to examine the way that it fits into the frame. The opening is simply too narrow and seriously detracts from the beauty of your carving. Thanks for sharing your carving as it is first rate. Chuck

nice panels...

from a door guy...cope n stick joinery standard, looks good but i'd be a little concerned about panel expansion in foto 3 looks like relief butts to stiles...could be a issue over time with panel movement

Thanks for the compliments. The wood is mahogany and I am also concerned about the "too tight fit. It's a detail I didn't discover until the trial fit. It's only at the outer edges of the flourish. I'm considering some ways to alleviate the problem.
Most of the elements are either from the artwork that comes with Aspire or purchased from VectorArt3D. I have modeled some of the components myself.
There are seven more to do.

Nice work, Phil. I like the hand chiseled look of the background relief. Hope we get to see the finished product photos!
