Hello fellow Botters,

Has anyone successfully wired in a cumulative use timer on any of their machines?? It can certainly be done but I'm wondering where you wired it in to the system?? We have one of the HSD spindles and I believe the power supply for the fan is either a 12 or 24v which would be easy to tap into but it wouldn't give a true spindle use count as the fan runs anytime the control box is powered on. However if that is the easiest connection point I would be happy with that as versus spending bookoo dollars trying to meter a 220v spindle. Can any of you more experienced Botters steer me in the correct direction?? Also can you recommend a specific timer we might use?? I know there was discussion earlier in the year or perhaps late last year about a software counter but it appeared to be a bit buggy as of last discussion. Thanks for everyone's help and comments.

Nicholas…
Seems like it would be relatively easy to hook up a timer to one of the unused outputs. You would then need to modify your Post processor to turn on that output any time the router was active.
