Z at 1 inch

I have a long bit for cutting out. I have the one inch above after zero. When I start my part file from Aspire, it tries to go another .2". I don't have that left. Is there a way to bring that 1" down above the material to 1/2" or something like that?

I tried changing it to .2 on the shopbot software, but it always goes to 1" above.

Change your safe z in your cam software.
