The door frame moulding in my kitchen is marked up with growth lines marked on it to show the progress of the kids, grandkids and great grandkids and this guy has an idea to make a ruler that hangs on the wall for marking. It's a good idea however he wants 100K on this campaign...not going to happen....he could do it all for 15-20K but it is a good idea for you guys who have kids...(Andrew!):D

We make them, very fast and easy. 225.00 seems a bit high for 10 mins of cnc time.

I make these as well and sell them at work and on Craigslist.

$225.00 seems kinda high for plywood but seeing he has had 22 backers in the last 6 days who am I to argue.

What the man is doing right is selling the story! I will be stealing just about every line from that video to sell mine. LOL

His carvings look deep and in some areas weak. The middle post of a "A" although looks nice, might break off with a simple rub or bump. I wish him luck in his adventure.

great idea but 225 is insane, and 100k is crazy for a kickstarter

I did 4 of those for a cabinet maker client of mine. 3 with a giraffe and one that was a ruler like the photo (to satisfy his wife who did not like the giraffe).

Well, $225 is certainly high but I think the 100k is really to finance a workshop, including CNC. It's not a bad idea I guess but he could have been more straightforward re: why he needs that much.
