Hey gang, been away for a bit, trying to get back into things again.
I'm trying to cut a litho and the after starting the file, I get the message that the file is in excess of 1000000 lines and it won't run.
Anyone know of a file splitter of a work around?
Thanks
Perry

Hey Perry, some time back this limitation issue was fixed. If you update to at least version 3.6.46, you'll be able to run it. If your machine is too old, you may not be able to. What version SB3 are you running?
There used to be a post p file that would split a file up also, depending on what program you're using (PartWorks/VCP/Aspire).

I have an older PRT96 (2001) and am running (from my understanding) the latest SB3 ver. for my machine with 3.4.27. Now I am using a serial to USB adaptor (external) to connect to my laptop. Not sure if I can upgrade to the 3.6.46.
My bot is stock from the era.
need the 4G board to run 3.6.46 on that machine

I did a quick work around. I changed my bit size and my step over (was 0.03175" BM with 8%, running now with a 0.0625" BM with 20%. File is now under 500000 lines so its running.
Not the resolution I had hoped, but it'll get the job done.

Yup, you won't be able to take that route then. What program are you using to make the file?

The litho was made in Photo V-Carve and imported into VCP

Perry, take a look at Help/Post Processor Editing Guide and once the PDF opens, look for 'Tape Splitting Support'. You can edit your pp file to split the file up into smaller files (less lines of code). You could then save it with a different name to use just for these purposes.

In VCP under 'Help'. It's possible, if your version of VCP is older, that it may not be there. Not sure.
Here's that section of the guide....
