I finally purchased new router contacts for my 2004 PRT Alpha. The new ones are different from the original ones and I was told by Frank at shopBot that the mounting holes will not line up. I'm wondering if any of you folks have already completed this task and are there any other surprises I should look for? Also, how difficult is the wiring changeover?

I finally got around to changing the contacts. It was a straight forward operation with no trouble.

Well that didn't last long! For some reason my router will not come on when I push the start button. I just cut 20 sheets of plywood last week with no problems and now it won't work. I can hear and feel the contacts kick in but no juice to the router. I checked the fuses and the router and there's nothing wrong with them. Any clue what could be going on?

I had that happen to my router before. dust under the rocker was my problem.. It felt as if it was making contact but wasn't, took i the air line and blew out the saw dust and all was good.

The router works fine when plugged into the wall outlet. The new contacts have less than 15 hours on them. When I press the start button, I hear the contacts click but no power to the router. I'm perplexed
