This aftermarket Desktop item is advertised as one of the best in the country. I've got it set to remove .03" of this weird MultiDirectionalFibre board on the skirt of my spoilboard outside the cutting area.
I keep getting a "motor overheating" warning and I can't get it to keep working for more than 5 minutes without it quitting for 10. I also intermittently get a "This material exceeds acceptable wheelchair height"
I should have bought the one with the bigger motor I guess:(
I'm hoping there's enough tool clearance around the gantry, but it looks tight. I think my RPM is too low and my pass depth is too shallow, but when I increase pass depth the motor bogs down. Oh well, Hope the motor doesn't quit on me before the other 3 sides are done.
Any suggestions besides to take a flying leap(been there, done that)?:)

Scott…
I found that mine doesn’t work well without the optional “grandson” attachment…

Thanks Steve, That option is "unavailable" in this location, motor finally died, but not before it got the surface flush. When I get ambitious I'll recess the outside area .05" with the #9 bronze miter( I hope the wireless power connector isn't wonky like the low angle Jacks was).:)
