What type & size bit is most commonly used for cutting nested cabinet parts from 3/4" plywood?

I like to use a 3/8" compression bit myself. I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions.

To me, the ability to cut faster with less bit vibration offsets the wider kerf. I get cleaner cuts in less time.

Run a 1/4" compression bit at 5ips at 12K rpm. First cut is climb cut leaving a 1/32" skin. Second pass is conventional direction cutting 1/32" thru the board. Parts can directly to the edgebander after being vacuumed clean.

Use to use a 3/8" bit but found the 1/4" can cut just as well and not have as much kerf waste.

Thank you! I like the 1/4" idea

I've been using mainly 1/4" mortise compression two flute. That allows a clean top surface even with a 3/8" mortise in the 3/4 stock, and of odourless a clean top and bottom surface who cutting through.

I also use a 3/8 bit at times. Try both, they are not crazy money. I've liked the Royce Ayr ones I get made here in Canada the best :)

I've been cutting at about 3 IPM at 11K rpm. I'm going to try running faster.

I am going to order the 1/4" compression - While at the IWF Vortex gave me an order form with 50% off so I think buying their bits is a good investment while trying to find a used 48x96 somewhere close to Florida

I have some Vortex bits they are some of the best that I have used. We run them on the Bieeses at work also.
