Please join us September 17th, 2014 for an online training session covering Slot Together Projects. We will look at several projects that use slotting, mortise and tenon joinery. After learning to design with these new methods we have to consider the material that is being used. Also, from sheet to sheet plywood can vary, and it is no fun spending hours designing a project that will not join together because the new plywood is thicker than the original.

Join us at 1:00pm EDT for a 45 minute training session followed by a 45 minute Q & A This training will also be recorded and posted for future viewings. See you Wednesday! Thanks, TJ

Attached are some of the projects we will be looking at in tomorrows training! Learn how to scale these for different thicknesses of plywood! Thanks...

Upcoming training topics cover surfacing table, creating a desktop spoilboard, indexing parts larger than table capacity and indexing with a 4th axis....

Great video TJ.

Sounds like there needs to be a new feature in the vectric software that links the dimension of certain parts to the material thickness. It seems like that should be a system variable that can be accessed. IE the dimension of this part is &materialthickness+.01. Variable based dimensioning would be really handy.

Alternatively, a gadget that could search out and alter any rectangle that has a specific dimension to a new one.

Thanx for this, as someone who does a lot of half lap and slot work this is most helpful.
I had independently come to the same place on several items but several others made the video well worth the time.
