Just finished this sign for Fedex. Used 2" Precision Board. Turned out really good. Roughed with a 1/4" spiral and finished with a 1/8" ballnose. Sign is 8' long and 4' wide. Took about 39 hours on Wally to complete the carving. I carved a pocket in the back as large as I could get and epoxied in a piece of 1/2" plywood to provide a good mount point for the french cleats used to hang the sign. Got the french cleats at HD.

Customer was absolutely floored when they saw it for the first time. They said it was way beyond their wildest dreams. They said it really sets the mood for the town where the new office is located.

This was my first time making a sign from HDU. I was pleased with the results.

That is SHARP!

Great work! I need to come and watch you paint some! I think that might be my biggest obstacle to doing something like this. You made it look GOOOOOOOOD!

Thanks for sharing!

Don Looks really nice, great job on the paint.

Do you have 39 hours total? or was that just the bot? seems high for just the bot.

Anyway really nice!

Thank you for the kind remarks from all.

The 39 hours is just Wally (yes that is the name of my bot).

The painting is actually done by my sister who is a very accomplished painter. She does a great job I must say.

Looks great, as you may know, they had to put "Fed Ex Ground" on all the trucks

...because they were getting them mixed up with the airplanes and causing problems at the airports.

Beautiful paint work! But you need a snowboarder instead of the skier:)
