2d Profile Toolpath Sweeping Action

I am making toolpaths from open vectors that require several passes due to the cut depth being greater than the pass depth. Is there a way to force a sweeping action as opposed to having the tool return to the start point for each pass?

Measure your vector. Ramp the vector with the ramp length set to the distance times the number of passes you wish.

There are other ways, but that's the quickest.

Won't using a spiral ramp do the same thing without needing to set any distances?
