Hi All

Our camp is schedualed for the 9th of September my question for you that want to attend "does anyone want to have an extra day of camp also on the 8th" and if we extend to include the 8th we will need some of you to put on demos and such to make this extra camp day a chance to learn new things and see how others are using the bot.

Let me know if there is any interest and what ideas you have to make this a great learning experience for all that attend.

thanks Mark

Hi all

Have not head from anyone about doing an extra day on September 8th the time is getting nearer and if we are to have an extra day we will need some of you to do demos and other things that we can all learn from. If I dont hear from anyone by August 11th we will plan on just the one day.

Mark,

Mark,

I will be attending on the 9th, and on the 8th if scheduled. I will have available files, bits and material to do a Lake map demo or a wildlife panel adapted from the Vector Art 3D collection. Depending on time and interest we can do one, both, or none.

Stephan,
Most Camps usually start with a short coffee/donut thing around 8AM. Then we get the real sessions going at 9AM. Generally speaking, Camps will finish between 4-5PM, but on occasion they have turned into longer events
(RVs in the parking lot are a good indicator....)...

Hi everyone,

Well the day is nearing for the Minnesota Camp. We have quite a few things lined up. We were hoping to have our 3D scanner from NextEngine by the end of August but it wont arrive until a week or so after the camp. We will have a small demo of 3D modeling and bringing the file into ArtCam Pro.

Bill has a lot to go over and Iam hoping that we get some of you shopbotters to bring some examples of what they do with thier shopbot.

Looking forward to seeing you all there...

Great camp!

Thank you Mark & Bill for making it worth the trip. I think it would be great to take the Camp's to the next level by starting a regional user groups. If anyone has interst in starting a a user group for the MN & WI regions send me a email or post a message here. I think there is allot we can do to help each other. As in group trainnig on software and ShopBot techniques, buys group these are just some suggestions.

I also had a great time meeting everyone and cannot express my gratitude to Bill and Mark for taking the time to bring us all together to make sure we know what and how we are doing.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I think it would be great continue the learning in between annual camp shopbots and get a network of BOTS and talent formed until Saturday I had no idea there was so many around this area.

Thanks
JD

Thanks to Niki, Mark, and Bill for a very informative camp. I met many talented people, and learned much I can use in my work.

David,

I am interested in being part of a user group, and will send you an email separately.

I too would like to offer my thanks to the entire Meggitt family; Mark, Nikki, and Brandon for their hospitality, and assistance over the weekend. We had close to 45 Campers attend, and there were some very nice pieces brought in for the Show and Tell table. We will have pictures of these pieces posted later today on the Camp Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/campshopbot/
I can not find all of my notes regard who did each of the pieces in these pix, so if I don't have your name attached to your work, please send me an e-mail and I will correct that.
It appears that there will be a User's group starting up in the area, so if you couldn't make it to the Camp you may still be able to connect with the other owners in that area..

Thanks to Mark for putting on the camp and to Bill, Jim, Brandon and Nikki for their presentations! See in the pictures you were wondering what the material was for the Minnesota Thomsonite picture. The material was MDF the rocks inside are thomsonite an agate like rock found on the North Shore.

I attended the Camp in MN on Sept. 9. I'm interested in small work like signs and putting artwork into doors. The PRT48 would be the best fit...I think. I have never seen artwork being cut into wood. Does anyone in the St.Paul,MN area have a PRT48 I could watch do its thing in wood.

We have an Alpha PRT48. I suppose you could think of Hartford, SD as an extreme southwestern suburb of St. Paul since its only a 4 hour drive.

Actually, what you saw Nikki cutting that weekend would be pretty much what it is like to carve in wood.
