Have a 24 x 36 piece of Corian with some minor scratches, been using wet 220 grit by hand. Still seems to be a slow process.
Any ideas? What is used for a final polish ? thanks

Grab your power sander and start at 180 and go up from there. To get to a polish you are going to need to get to round 600 or higher.
Or you could just find a kid, for some reason they love to sand.

Having done quite a few solid surface counters over the years I've done then this way...
Usually start with 220 and a random orbital. Then through 320, 400 on to a maroon scotch brite pad.
Then a few different grits of buffing compound and a felt pad. Finish up with a white scotch brite.
It is a tedious job. You can't rush through the steps.

I probably should have done a bit more finish work before I cut in the sign letters on the Corian... lots of hand sanding ahead now I guess.
Can one just wax it for a final finish ? It will not be used as a counter.
