One of the other threads was discussing cutting plastic. I have been using Harvey Tools #51508 plastic cutters. They are 1/8 inch dia., single flute and do a great job. You get a whale of a lot of plastic cutting with one of these little guys.

I have no connection with them, just like their stuff.

Tom who are you buying them from? I tried a local distributor and he tried to sell me another brand! Since I wasn't interested I dropped trying to buy them. They still have a bit I would like to buy. Thanks!

I think Harvey tool sells directly off of the web. At some point in the past someone had a sale on and I bought 6 of them for about half price. It was talked about in one of the messages here on the forum.

I have purchased from Harvey tools they make quality stuff. Please specify what type plastic you are cutting thickness and speed. I cut a lot of UHMW and HDPE and use mostly Onsrud cutters. I cut thicknesses from 1.5" thick to .5" thick. The soft plastics cut different from the harder plastics like acrylic that is why I am asking the question.

Thanks Mike

A lot of Plexiglas and some corian. Look at the Harvey site and you will see they have different cutters for hard and soft plastic.
