Camp ShopBots are a great way to meet other ShopBot users, to learn new techniques, and tips on pushing your machine (and yourself!) to new levels. They are FREE to attend and lunch is included. Camps are intended for all ages and skill levels. Teachers and their students are encouraged to participate, too.

Registration is highly encouraged, so that we and our host can plan accordingly. An email to all registrants will be sent out 1 week prior to the Camp with parking information, maps and other details.

Schedule:
8:30-9am: Meet & Greet with light refreshments
9am-noon: Morning presentations
Noon-1pm: Lunch
1pm-4pm: Afternoon presentations
Camps usually end between 4-5pm.

See you there for the first Camp of 2015! :D

We are almost 2 weeks away from the first Camp of 2015! :D

Our hosts have an awesome space and huge finishing room. They make all the sets and props for the theater departments' events. So lots of 2-D cutting along with some 3-D carving.

Sign up soon!

We are one week away from the Northern Florida Camp ShopBot! Here are a few additional details about next Saturday's Camp on February 21. See you there!

Address: 2214 Belle Vue Way Tallahassee, FL 32304 - https://goo.gl/maps/qUeHg
Our host is the School of Theater's Technical Production Department. Their building is not on FSU's main campus. http://theatre.fsu.edu/Graduate/MFA/Technical-Production

Parking: A free large parking lot is next to the building. There is only 1 entrance into the building from the parking lot. A few students will be on-hand at that entrance to sign you in and to direct you to the presentation room.

What to bring: A notebook or tablet computer is sometimes helpful at Camps to take notes, along with business cards to hand out if you have them. You will not need safety glasses.

Show and Tell Session: A great part of Camps is the Show and Tell session: It offers everyone a chance to actively participate. Floor space as well as tables to set your projects on will be available. If you do large work or client commissions, bring photographs to display. No matter if it is a ShopBot-made jig or beginner test piece or commissioned 3D carving, having lots of examples really enriches the Camp experience for everyone!

Schedule:
8:30-9am: Morning sign-in/Meet & Greet (Coffee and doughnuts provided. Please arrive on time.)
9am-Noon: Morning presentations (We strive to begin promptly at 9am.)
Noon-1pm: Lunch (A vegetarian option is available. If you have serious dietary restrictions we encourage you to pack a lunch.)
1-2pm: Show and Tell session
2-4pm: Afternoon presentations
Camps wrap up by 5pm.
