Sorry if I already posted this but my short term is outta wack! Anywho this is 1 piece relief cut out of a 4" thick piece of cedar. $1.99 model from ebay.

This is one of the most interesting 3D carvings I've seen on this forum. Partially due to the live-edge wide lumber. That alone is impressive, then the carving snugs right as though it belongs.
Keep up the excellent work.

What Kurt has done by carving this model on a Live-edge slab is set the horses free. Imagine the model carved in a slab of marble or HDU. Then you have less emotional involvement. What we have here is Wild wood and wild horses coming together and it's poetry. That's what art is all about.
I'm not interested in hearing anything it's utility. Forget that! It is what it is.
