We will be holding our first Camp in Pennsylvania on Saturday Oct. 4th at the shop of John Haggerty.
John's shop is in Souderton,PA. and I'll attach some driving directions which John sent along to us.
Obviously this gives people plenty of time to plan for the event, but with the Fall schedule filling in so quickly ( as well as holding the Jamboree in October) we wanted to post this notice as soon as we had worked out the time frame. We'll be posting more details regarding this Camp in the next few months, but with SO many Shopbotters living/working within driving distance ( his shop is roughly 25 miles Northwest of Philadelphia) we're expecting a sizeable turnout.

HI All
The date for my camp is fast approaching. Bill has lined up Brady and a few other speakers. We are trying to get a head count. you can post here or send me an email.
I use the Shopbot for woodworking, cabinets etc.
Alot of curved work. I also do some work for local sign shops.

I'm quite excited about this since I have not been able to go to a camp since bill closed his shop. I look forward to seeing you in October
John

I'm starting to get RSVP's from a bunch of people who used to go to the New Jersey Camps, and they plan to attend this one as it's the closest location (currently) to my old shop.
If you plan to attend please send either John or myself an e-mail so we know how many people to prepare for! I'm at- campshopbot@gmail.com (mailto:campshopbot@gmail.com)

Two of the Shopbotters above;Brady Watson, and Jim Zaccaro willbe doing presentations at the Souderton Camp.
Brady is going to speak about "Using your Shopbot to build a business" (and I'm sure he'll be available to answer vacuum/laser scanning questions as well), and Jim will discuss the finer points of "building signs" with your machine (he's worked in a variety of unusual materials for some very prestigious customers over the last few years...)
As you can see from the posts above people will be rolling in via RV, etc. so we'll have a good turnout for this one. Let us know early if you plan to attend...!

Also

my driveway is about 80 feet long but on a slope
you can probably put the RV in front of the house. its flat. since Brady won't be here i guess we only need room for 1. If need be i can make arrangements with the neighbor across the street

Pennsylvania Camp update...
In response to some e-mail questions we've received;
The Camp will start with a "coffee/donut"session between 8-9AM. Then we run sessions from 9AM-4PM with a Shopbot sponsored "shop type lunch" thrown in. Sessions then resume and we usually run until about 4PM...(Of course all of these figures are pretty loose however as we never know what info people might want to dwell on...).

Just had a confirmation call from Russ Todd, of Widgetworksunlimited, who will be at the Camp and showing off some of the "after market items" he's building for the Shopbot. You can see some of his accessories on the Shopbot Camp Flickr pages...
If you own a Shopbot and are coming to the Camp please remember to bring something for "Show and Tell"...!

PARKING
HI all it looks like we will have a full house. there is a municipal lot about 1/2 block away.
if you are in front of the shop you want to go under the railroad bridge, cross main st and it is on your right.
I'll see you in the morning
John

I just placed a few signs in front of John's house and shop ( the shop is the large tan building down the driveway). You might want to drive slowly down his block to be SURE you find the shop. Parking looks like it's going to be tight so I think the idea of the municipal lot makes a lot of sense.
If you get totally lost here is John's phone #;

John, We went to get on the turnpike at 5am this morning (to be at your place by 8) and there was some sort of truck accident. Set still for 45 minutes and then aborted the trip, took the next exit.

I am real sorry I missed it buddy. I hope you and all others had a blast.

I like to take the time to thank John for the use of his shop and to thank Bill and Jim for their knowledge. I've been to several camps now and plan to attend more in the future. For those of you that have never attended, I would highly recommend doing so. It will definately save you months (or more) of trial and error. I have always left with new tecniques and ideas. I can't wait till morning and get back to the shop.
Thanks again guys,
Bryson
