I am using windows 98 , tried new cables, tried a different computer and a new power supply for the shopBot control I've been using the shopBot for 1 year the only problem 1 had was with the z axis plate and had that fixed

I have been using my bench top PRT for 1 year. I am using windows 98 lost connection to the shopBot. I tried new a new 9 pin cord, and a different computer still no connection

Doug,

Don't pack up your controller so fast......It may not be as bad as it seems. Tell us more. "Lost connection to the tool" That happens from time to time.

If you can search and follow this forums advice, along with SB tech support and fix the problem yourself, in the long run you will feel a lot more comfortable with your tool.
