In case some of you did not see the listing in the thread "2008 Camp Shopbots" we have our annual visit to Southern California scheduled for March 1st at Ilan Dei's shop in Venice;

As in the past we're asking if anyone has any projects/topics they would like to present at the Camp. If so please contact either Ilan, or myself so we can firm up the schedule soon.
Also if you do plan to attend and have any specific topics you'd like to see covered, give us some advance notice so we can try to accommodate your interests.
And as with ALL Camps it would help us in our preparations if we know just how many people are planning to attend, so please contact one of us with your "RSVP" at your earliest convenience. Thanks !

In response to some inquiries in the campshopbot mailbox here are some more details regarding the Southern California/Venice Camp.
The Camp will begin with the traditional coffee/donut gathering between 8-9AM
The actual sessions start about 9AM and run until approximately 4:30 PM
We'll be covering the most requested topics which are;
A survey of the various software options available.
Cutting different types of materials
Sign making/masking
Vacuum hold down systems
The use of different coatings (including Sculpt Nouveau)
3D cutting and assembly
Scanning and digitizing
And the ever popular "Show and Tell"where we ask you to bring something that you have made in , and briefly speak about it.( Remember this year we're giving out T shirts to all those who bring something in so please let us know in advance ).
(If there are other topics of interest please contact us very soon so we can make plans to cover that area).
As usual Shopbot will provide a lunch for all attending, and again as usual we need to know how many people to prepare for. So please drop us a note at the Camp mailbox address -

We had a great turnout for this year's SoCal Camp. I'd like to thank Ilan Dei for being the host, and everyone who brought something in for Show and Tell as well. We have posted the Camp Blog at;
