Currently it has "littlefuse" as the brand, does anyone know a common place to get these aside from the web or a good alternative fuse that would work?

Also, what is the importance of "limiting time delay" on the fuse vs one that is not.

You should be able to get them from Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware or similar places.

They are a common fuse used in most disconnects

No...you probably won't find the proper fitting fuse at any big box store & common type fuses won't work either. You need the proper fuse, because the lower portion of the fuse is stepped down to correctly fit the holder. (carefully look at the posted pic to see) I've wished that the big box stores or Pro counter @ the nearest electrical supply house had them in various parts of the country...but more often than not the answer is no.

You can get these on Amazon among other places. Just search for "LITTELFUSE CCMR" and pick what amperage you need. They are more expensive than you think they should be. BUT...They usually don't go bad unless your system got knocked out by lightning or stupidity.

This happened to me many years ago and i went to a regular electrical supply house (where electricians shop) and found what i needed there. Not at a big box store. Take the fuse with you so they can match it up.
I don't recall the cost but i think it was in excess of $10.00 each but i've never had to replace them in 8 years.

Brady,

Thanks for the clarification, given that it's not that easy to obtain them I will go ahead and order me a set from Amazon (I'm lazy that way and I have prime) so I will have them on hand just in case.

You can try MCS. they carry most everything.

I've never had to replace one on my own tool - Only when going out for a service call in the middle of no where. So...If you rely on your machine to feed the kids...and you live the in the middle of no where with frequent lightning strikes, it isn't a bad idea.

The Alpha boxes are pretty well protected against most things & those little fuses often take the brunt of the abuse to save the other components.
