So, this is my idea of what we should be doing with scrap plywood lumber. This is a small crate I decided I needed for a customer's project. Made it in a jiffy on the ShopBot. Not completely original, but Very very functional! And the joints were so tight, I was tempted to just staple it and forget about it. I DID pull it back apart and glue, then staple. It is a fantastic little crate.

See pics.

My first thought was that if you made the Dogbone oversized, you could have wide range of proportional box sizes, simply by grouping and resizing,
Infected tooth is making it hard to think though(tougher than usual:). Should work?
Thanks for posting:)

Looks like a really cool project, would you want to share the files? I see a dozen uses for this along with cut handles in the sides....

Worth VCarving "Shipped by:..........................." on one or more panels as it certainly won't be tossed in the trash bin!
Never know where jobs are going to come from:)

Scott,

I very certainly am considering V carving when it gets back from the vendor (on the "lid").

Already cut two small slot holes in the lid to facilitate controlling it during lid removal.

Sorry to hear about the tooth. That can affect everything you do.... get better!

Joe &

(Scott) Yes. I had thought about scaling it in order to meet various needs.

(Joe) I would be happy to send you the file. I use Aspire 4.5. So you would have to have that version to use my cut files (even just to modify them).... but I am willing to send them to you. ( I don't know if the forum has allowed us to share files on here...)

It was a bit of a PITA to do all the corner clearance set up. I learned why I could not do standard fillets with Aspire while chatting with TJ during his training this week... that will speed up the next one tremendously....

But let me know if you need a dxf so you can import and set up your own cut files. (mine is set up using an onsrud 1/8" bit. I think it is a 63-712(?). And files would be in Aspire 4.5. Pretty simple. Just tedious to do the drawing part of the set up!

Monty, knew I'd miss something in the Q&A, but Dad was here.
Amoxicillin 1/2hour ago and 102F temp--2+2=3.14159.... see I'm better already!
More intelligent comments later. (Maybe)
Need to print out shortcuts again for laptop. Control-Y totally spaced it the last month and could have saved hours. Need a brain implant:)
"Warning!!! Designed when tired!!!:) " It should be my logo:)
