Can I go from Rhino to Routing?

Hi,

I can get Rhino for free but I'm wondering if I'm still missing a step in between Rhino and getting the .stl to the router?

What is the best and/or cheapest way you would do this if you had Rhino for free?

See if your free Rhino comes with a CAM add-on, after that see if you can get a PP for a Shopbot.

I'd look at MeshCAM

If you buy/have a ShopBot, it comes with PW3D/Cut3D - so all you need to do is import the STL into this program and you'll be able to create toolpaths.

CAD--->CAM---->CNC

Rhino--->PartWorks3D--->CNC

or for 2D stuff...

VCarvePro ShopBot Edition(CAD/CAM)--->CNC
