Laser engraving attachment?

I've seen the L cheapo laser, but is that all that's out there as my option without spending alot?

I really want to get into something that doesn't require me to be an electrician to hook up.

I would buy the smaller $1000-$3000 units. But an attachment gives me 4x8 cuts

Hi Davo, my machine is still for sale. It's a 4x8 2005 PRT Alpha with 40 watt laser mounted on the 2nd Z. It's mounted in the vertical and can travel the 4x8. I'm selling the turnkey package for $15K and might be out of your price range but I could possibly answer some of your questions. It was tricky to integrate, which I had professionally done and use WinCNC as the control software because it supports laser both raster & vector.
