Z axis halved

My Z axis suddenly decided to travel 1/2 the distance of any given input.:mad:

X and Y axis are normal with no problems.

My only solution was to double my unit value from 509.2956 to 1018.5912.

Seems to work ok with that double unit value, but what if it decides to jump back to half movement in the middle of a cut for the same unknown reason...

Machine is older PRT, 20 tooth pinion.

Sounds like you went from 1/4 stepping to 1/8 or 1/8 to 1/16. I'm not sure if this is adjustable on the control board or not. You might check with tech support.

Doubling the UV is fine. Some models had a 7.2:1 motor on the Z instead of a 3.6:1, so the UV would be 2X that of a 3.6:1.
