New to the forum and have found lots of good information. Thanks to all!
I just purchased a first generation PRS standard 48X96, 2007 with the older usb to serial setup and the 4.17 board. No communications or ports found. Troubleshot for several days and narrowed it down to the control card. I bought and installed the latest control card 2.18 and all communication issues are fine. The movement of the machine works fine at all speeds but one inch per second. There is a strange sound and vibration. It's also in all 3 axis. I disconnected the Y motor and ran different speeds and sure enough its only at one inch per second. I think its getting a bad signal. So the information to control one inch per second is bad on all axis. I am not sure if some settings need to be changed. Faulty control card? Bad power supply? Any suggestions?
