I've been asked by our local American Legion Post/ VFW Post (they share the same building) to make new signs to display at the entrance of the building. I submitted a preview of a VCarved sign for both groups. It was not accepted as their logos are copyright protected. They can purchase a printed logo (a decal) to attach to the sign, I will carve the information for the local post.
I don't understand why the local American Legion and VFW Posts can't use their own logos and have it carved by a sign maker. I'm hoping someone can shed a bit of light on the issue for me.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Phil

Who were they "not accepted" by? The Posts themselves? They asked you to make them and then told you that you can't?

I have printed T-Shirts for several VFW's in the area with their logo without a problem.

When you get into these situations, just go right to the source. Everything else is hearsay.

All the info and procedure is right there on the American Legion website (http://www.legion.org/emblem/faq).
