Where is a good place to buy fonts. I have a customer that wants me to start cutting letters using vine script monogram fonts.

Gene…
A quick word of caution … Free and inexpensive fonts can often come with some problems that are costly. Crossed and open vectors can toolpath unpredictably, causing you to have to “convert to curves” and spend valuable time editing them. The more ornate the font, the more likely this is to happen!

To get around the fonts that have vector issues, I type everything I want and then export the image - then reimport and bitmap trace - makes a nice clean closed vector outline of the font

My laser has massive issues with certain fonts for this reason

So aspire + Inkscape is a powerful combination

Steve hit it right on the head, if you purchase good quality fonts you won't have to jump thru hoops editing every time you use it.

Take a look at Google fonts they are downloadable as single fonts or the entire collection
https://www.google.com/fonts just add one to "your Collection" and then download it
it's also an easy interface to compare them if you click on the "word" vs "sentence" button at the top

Gene, you can get all the Google Fonts right here (https://github.com/google/fonts/archive/master.zip).
It's about 260mb, it'll download to your desktop.

I didn't see any real good selection of fonts on there, just many similarities - dafont still offers more variety
