I upgraded my dust collection to a stationary system at the same time I purchased my ShopBot. I purchased a cyclone from Onieda. I sent them a detailed drawing of my shop layout indicating which machines I needed to run a line to. They drew up a plan and sent all the parts I needed for the ducting along with the cyclone.
The picture shows the ball and socket joint they sent to use where the metal ducting terminated above the ShopBot. It works really well. I had to change the way I routed the grounding wire. I originally had it poking through the flexible hose and then screwed to the ball and socket joint. The movement and rotation of the ball and socket caused the copper grounding wire to tear a big hole in the flexible hose. I now have the copper wire screwed to the inside of the ball and socket joint and don't have any issues.
