Because it's been at least 8 years since i've had this happen, and because this medicine makes me all loopy...
I hit a clamp that made the carriage jump the track. So i loosed the steppers and let the motor hang on both sides.
I turned off control box, turned off computer, turned off circuit breaker
Picked it back up and set it on the tracks, rolled it slowly back and forth to make sure it was ok.
pushed the stepper motors back up to mesh with the (pinion/trunion?)
tightened the bolt, turned the turnbuckle to tighten it to where it was before.
started control box, computer, software
it rolled back and forth with no problems when i used direction keys, but i'm not sure if there is anything else i need to do before i commit to trying to cut again?
I just get very confused lately combined with the fact i haven't had to do this in years...
