I bought a jawhorse clone for $25.00 and i have a issue. I pumped it and saw that the jaw moved to close it however i didn't put a board in to see if it clamped and held it.

When i got it home i can clamp it by pumping it by foot but when it does not hold the material locked in place. I have had the switch in the locked and unlocked position and it doesn't lock it.

Is there anything that you can think of that i need to do to make it lock that i haven't done? Has anyone experienced this, if so how did you fix it?

I don't have a solution to your problem but I would suggest that you post your question on http://lumberjocks.com/.

Good luck,

Phil

Take it back to TSC and tell them to make it work...

I fixed it and have a nice tool for a few bucks. I'm going to cut a tabletop out of plywood with benchdog holes and slots for clamps to hold material and jigs for tools like chopsaws, ect.
