Router just turned on by itself?

Anyone ever go to unplug the usb cable from their computer and have the router turn on? Just happened. I did the same thing that I always do and closed the controller window, waited until the computer beeped acknowledgment that it was safe to unplug and then removed usb cable. Actually somewhat disconcerting. Shopbot Buddy 48 standard.
