Hold down questions

Hello all,

Having a little bit of issue trying to figure out a way to hold down some brass.

Situation: 1/4" thick, 1" wide, 4"long

I need to cut both sides(3x through pockets on one, two shallow pockets on other). Need to get them as perfect as I can. I understand the flip over method. Im looking for some examples on how to hold down this strip of brass.

For such small solid metal parts I strap a machine vise to the table. I found a 4" one on eBay for $50. Not a Kurt vise but good enough.
